Just finished a routine, maintenance and tuneup on a Goodman, gas furnace, and AC in the towns in Delaware area. The furnace we put in two years ago and is still holding strong, as if it’s the same day we just put it in! The air conditioning did it have low levels of refrigerant, which tells me that there is a leak somewhere in the system. Being that the unit is 15 years old, I don’t know if I would necessarily recommend to get it repaired. But all I can do is give options and listen. Just finished up a routine, maintenance and tuneup on a 90% Goodman natural gas fired furnace in the Bear Delaware area. Noticed that the furnace was overheating when I was getting my readings and later found out that most of the registers were closed on the downstairs. On top of that they were a few more recommendations that I may to the client regarding the overheating of the unit. And I also noticed a leak coming from one of the fittings on the exhaust vent piping. We discussed solutions and plans of attack and will be back to conquer these tasks. Just finished up a routine maintenance and tuneup on a 26 year-old train natural gas fired furnace in the Bear Delaware area. Did find some major concerning problems, including a cracked heat exchanger, which is no Bueno! I’m just glad we caught this problem before it got any bigger and posed actual danger to the family involved. We will be reaching out shortly to give for options on what he can do next. After seeing both capacitors we’re pretty low, Alex decided to give the green light to get those swapped out. I also noticed that the defrost timer was on the wrong delay and got that switched over for him as well. After that, everything seemed to be spic and span! Everything was fine except the capacitor and the fan blades, which were pretty dirty. All other calculations show that there is a healthy unit keeping everything smooth and comfortable! Was just able to complete a 2-Fer! We installed a pair of Goodman split systems in June for a family in Bear Delaware. While doing the Natural Gas Furnaces, I couldn’t find a single problem with them! Everything looked immaculate and only needed a wipe down and a quick filter change. All levels point to healthy units and that’s our favorite thing to hear! Not a doubt in our mind that you’ll have a very comfortable season! After inspection, I recommended a blower wheel cleaning due to how impacted it was and how healthy the rest of the unit was looking. I’ll be back later today to complete that! While Doug was called here to offer an estimate for replacing HVAC due to a failed unit, he stated he could most likely fix the problem thereby removing the urgency to replace. He could have just given an estimate in hopes of making the sale, but instead solved the immediate problem with minimal cost. This level of honesty and service is going to weigh heavily in choosing a company to replace the 27 year old units in the fall.
